The point is, it’s not surprising that we’re into note cards. After all, we’ve been passing notes to each other since freshman year geometry.

Well, now we’re married and a lot older. But our fondness for jotting off a quick note to brighten someone’s day remains stronger than ever. Email rocks. We use it enough to know there’s nothing more efficient. But there’s no substitute for the handwritten, snail-mailed note. It’s like a nice, big hug…kissed with a stamp.

A note to an old friend. Or to your child away at college. Maybe a just-for-the-heck-of-it-how-are-you-doing card.
